Seeing with the eye of the heart

Sanctuary Dance is an invitation to come home to yourself.

Through movement, we remember what the mind so easily forgets: that we are both fully human and fully divine.

We move from the inside out, guided by the eye of the heart, where love is not just a feeling but a practice.

Our body becomes a living, breathing mantra.

We gather through book clubs and sacred embodiment events, through classes honoring the divine feminine, and coming in the spring of 2027 through monthly supper clubs where community is built not just on the dance floor, but around the shared table of food, conversation and connection.

Because belonging is part of the medicine too.

Come as you are. Move as you must. Be held.

Fully Human, Fully Divine: The Numinous Path of the Heart and the Body

Dear friends,

I’m delighted to invite you into a 7-week embodied book club/dance sanctuary that weaves together sacred text, community conversation, and expressive movement to explore what it means to be fully human and fully divine  through a divine feminine lens.

This is a unique Book Club/Movement Sanctuary extravaganza

7 Weeks · 7 Sacred Powers · Seeing with the Eye of the Heart

This first journey we will take together is inspired by Meggan Watterson’s The Mary Magdalene Oracle and her book The Gospel of Mary Magdalene, rooted in one of the earliest mystical streams of the Christ movement.  Have you read it?  It's fabulous!

Discovered in Egypt, the 2nd century Gospel of Mary Magdalene reveals teachings from Jesus that were later excluded from the biblical canon created in the 4th century during the political codification of the Christ's teachings by the Roman Empire. Mary's recovered ancient teachings center on inner knowing, sacred embodiment, unity, and love, rather than fear, hierarchy, or separation.

I am excited to share this divine feminine energy with you!

🌿 This course is open to all genders and welcomes anyone drawn to embodied spirituality, contemplative movement, and sacred inquiry.

🌙 What we will explore in our time together

Over seven weeks, we will journey through the seven powers of the ego, as revealed in Mary’s Gospel.
Each week the
two hour session will include:

  • Teaching and guided conversations using the text and oracle deck which you will purchase and read if you don't already have them
  • Community sharing and reflection in safe and sacred space open to all
  • A short meditation at the end of each session
  • A 45 minute gentle, thematic sacred embodiment session to move the teachings out of the intellect and into the body. This will be easy access into your own movement guided by the facilitator. No dance experience required and no steps to remember.

Together, we shift from ideas of separation into an experience of sovereignty with ourselves and unity with each other and the universe.

🔥 The Seven Powers of the Ego that we will explore based off the book and oracle cards :

  • Week 1 The First Power: Darkness
    “Darkness makes vision possible.”

  • Week 2 The Second Power: Clinging
“I trust what my soul desires.”

  • Week 3 The Third Power: Ignorance
    “Humility is my greatest strength.”

  • Week 4 The Fourth Power: Excess
    “I am Beloved.”

  • Week 5 The Fifth Power: Forgetting
    “I am a body and a soul.”

  • Week 6 The Sixth Power: The Sacred Body
    “The body never lies.”

  • Week 7 The Seventh Power: Holy Rage
    “Anger is information.”

Through gentle and creative sacred embodiment, deep reflection, and shared presence, these powers become felt experiences, not just abstract ideas.  Dancing, which we do barefoot, can be done standing or seated if necessary.  Chairs will be available if needed.

💗 Why This Journey Matters

This is an invitation to:

  • Discover Mary Magdalene, the watch tower/guardian as an ascended master, "Apostle to the apostles" and mystic
  • Reclaim early (1st/2nd century) Christ teachings deeply rooted in love, affectivity and embodied wisdom
  • Awaken the sacred numinous path of awareness in body, mind, and spirit through movement
  • Deepen your authentic presence within yourself, with others, and with the world
  • Explore how we might live together with more compassion, truth, integrity, discernment and aliveness

This path is not about christianity, but of liberation through knowledge and divinity.

It is not about perfection or performance and there will be no dance moves to remember.

Each of the 7 sessions will be about a divine remembering ...remembering who we are…fully human & fully divine in the eyes of the Good.

I would love to walk—and dance—this numinous path with you.

With warmth and peace,

Michelle Dubreuil

Countdown finished!

Dear Friends,

Join us for 7 weeks to dance the theme  THE DIVINE FEMININE.

Every week is a new goddess.

Every week is a new doorway into yourself.

Each two-hour session begins with a seated circle, where you'll receive a teaching on one goddess : her story, her qualities, her medicine. From there, we move together in sacred embodiment, letting her energy flow through gesture, breath, and motion. No dance background required, no experience necessary. Just you, the music, and a room full of women ready to remember who they are.

Monthly Supper Clubs

Good food.

Sacred conversation.

Real community.

Any one can attend. Any time!  Even if you haven't been to a Sanctuary Dance event.

Once a month, Sanctuary Dance hosts a supper club: a relaxed, joy-filled gathering where the table is long, the music is lovely, and the conversation goes as deep as you want it to. Bring a potluck dish to share, bring a friend, bring whatever's on your heart.

We'll talk about all things divine and sacred or we'll just laugh and eat together. Either way, you'll leave feeling fed in more ways than one.

No agenda. No performance. Just people growing something beautiful together.

Spring 2027 dates and venue will appear on the website calendar.

Michelle Dubreuil-your teacher and facilitator

Some callings arrive quietly. Others arrive as a consecration.

It is the deepest honor of my life to serve as an ordained Priestess in the Order of Melchizedek, Sanctuary of the Beloved which is a lineage of sacred service that transcends denomination, doctrine, and division. Each Priest ordained within this order carries legal ordination under The Sanctuary of the Beloved, an incorporated, non-denominational church recognized in New York State and across the United States. What that means in practice is simple: I am here, fully and legally, to hold the sacred moments of your life.

Birth. Marriage. Passing. The thresholds that crack us open and ask us to remember what is holy.

My spiritual path has led me deep into feminine theology and the early Gnostic church, those luminous, often suppressed traditions that honored the sacred feminine, the wisdom of direct experience, and the divine light living inside every human being. That path is not merely academic for me. It lives in my body, in my practice, in every gathering I create.

From that devotion, Sanctuary Dance was born.  This is a community of embodied spiritual practice where movement becomes prayer, where the goddess is not a distant myth but a living presence we can feel in our bones. I invite you to come, to move, to remember.

You are welcome at every threshold. You are welcome here.
