I love, therefore, I am.

Michelle Dubreuil

Welcome! I’m Michelle.

I’m a life coach, Biodanza facilitator and lifelong student of the body, heart, and spirit. I trained as a life coach with Martha Beck and draw on heart-opening, life-affirming techniques to help you connect to your own true compass—your North Star. I’m here to walk alongside you as you rediscover what’s already within: wisdom, direction, joy, and wholeness.

I’m also a BARE Certified Life Coach, supporting girls and women in developing a joyful, empowered relationship with their bodies. Together, we explore what it means to feel great, look radiant, and live fully—from the inside out.

My coaching is deeply embodied and often flows into the movement practice I lead each week: Biodanza, which means “the dance of life.” In these joyful group sessions, we dance to reconnect—with ourselves, with each other, and with the wisdom of the body. This is a space where we drop out of our heads and come home to the heart. There’s no choreography, only guided movement designed to awaken emotion, presence, and connection. The body doesn’t lie—and I’ll help you listen to what yours has been trying to tell you.

I also bring in other energetic and healing tools to support your journey. I’m a certified 500hr Yoga teacher  (Indra Yoga Institute), a Master Reiki Practitioner and Teacher(Usui & Metta™ lineages), a certified hypnotherapist  (Quiet Time Hypnosis), and a QiGong teacher  (Master Chan Zhang) offering four distinct qigong forms online and in person. Most recently, I’ve deepened my path through the study of Ayurveda with the Shakti Ayurveda School, and I now offer Ayurvedic counseling to nourish balance in body, mind, and spirit.

It is my deepest honor to be an ordained priest(ess)  in the Order of Melchizedek, Sanctuary of the Beloved. Each Priest in the Order of Melchizedek is legally ordained under The Sanctuary of the Beloved, an incorporated, non-denominational church in New York State and in the United States. So, I am here to celebrate life...birth, (Biodanza) weddings, passings.  I have a keen interest in feminine theology and the early "gnostic" church.  Stay tuned for a program I am cooking up that combine dance and feminine spirituality.

Above all, I believe that movement is medicine—whether it’s through dance, breath, laughter, or a long barefoot walk. If you’re ready to dance your life awake, I’d love to move with you.

I’ve been honored to share this work nationally and internationally—from radio and podcast interviews to teaching at the Omega Institute in New York during Family Week. My love of culture and connection runs deep. I lived for 14 beautiful years in Africa—starting in Benin as a Fulbright Scholar in 1995, then continuing in Uganda, South Africa, and Zambia teaching French and raising my family.

French is one of my soul languages—I’ve taught it in the U.S. and abroad for over 40 years. I groove on audiobooks, soulful music across all genres, yoga, qigong, and of course... dancing! I share my life with my beloved dancing family of four, and I can't wait to welcome you into the circle.

Let’s begin your next chapter—through breath, rhythm, and deep reconnection.

MY BIODANZA TRAININGS:

I began my formal Biodanza training at the IBF School of South Africa in Johannesburg in 2007, a life-changing experience that set me on a path of deep embodiment and transformation. In 2010, I became an IBF Didacta, certified by Rolando Araneda Toro,  founder of the Biodanza system which was an immense honor that allowed me to step into the role of teacher and guide. Today, I serve as the Director of the IBFed Biodanza School in Maryland/DC, where I have the great joy of training new facilitators and nurturing a vibrant, heart-centered community of movers, seekers, and soul dancers.  I am honored to continue the legacy of Biodanza in the USA.

In my ongoing journey with Biodanza, I've had the joy of exploring several powerful extensions that have deepened both my personal practice and what I offer to others. I’ve trained in The Tree of Desires with Veronica Toro Terren and Raul Terren, a profound approach to awakening and honoring our core life impulses. I’ve also studied Children & Families with Alejandro Balbi Toro, which has given me beautiful tools for nurturing connection and emotional intelligence from an early age. My love of sound and rhythm led me to the Voice & Percussion extension with Sergio Cruz, where I discovered new ways to liberate expression through vibration and movement. In the professional world, I’ve trained in Biodanza for Organizations with Liliana Viotti, learning how to bring vitality, cohesion, and human connection into workspaces. And to support healing on a deeper level, I completed Biodanza Clinica 1 with Mirta Schinini, which allows me to work more intentionally with people navigating physical or emotional vulnerability. Each of these paths has added rich dimensions to my facilitation, and I’m honored to share them with those I dance with.

I had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Radical Progressively program with Antonio Sarpe, a truly revolutionary experience in professional development. This program challenged and expanded my understanding of facilitation, presence, and transformation, pushing me to explore the edges of my own growth both personally and professionally. The course was bold, embodied, and deeply rooted in the essence of Biodanza, offering tools that awakened a whole new level of clarity, creativity, and leadership in my work. It wasn’t just training—it was a profound initiation into the power of conscious evolution through movement and relationship. The impact of this program continues to echo in the way I hold space, invite transformation, and meet each dance with deeper authenticity.

I’ve had the joy of facilitating Biodanza in a wide range of vibrant and diverse settings, each one enriching my path and deepening my commitment to this beautiful system. I've guided sessions at the Dance New England Camp New Hampshire, the Interfusion Festival in DC, and the lively NYC Barefoot Boogies, where spontaneous movement and community connection come alive. I’ve also shared Biodanza during South African Encounters, at the Biodanza Congress in Holland, and at the Omega Institute’s Family Week in Rhinebeck, NY, where intergenerational movement brings powerful healing. Additionally, I support the growth of future facilitators through teaching modules, offering supervision, and mentoring monograph projects at the San Francisco Biodanza School. Each space has reminded me how universal the language of the body truly is, and how deeply we all long to move, feel, and connect.

My work has also been featured on several podcast and in various publications that celebrate movement and conscious living. I was honored to have an article published in Conscious Dancer Magazine  (and am a current member of this dance community) sharing insights into the transformative power of Biodanza.  I was also featured in Marcelo Toro’s “Around the World in 80 Days” Biodanza journey, a global project that highlighted facilitators bringing this work to diverse communities around the world. Being part of these stories has been a beautiful way to witness how far the ripple of Biodanza reaches—and how deeply it touches lives.

If you are a Biodanza facilitator and would like Biodanza mentoring, please connect with me. Please don't feel like you are alone on this journey just because your training is over.  Sometimes we need some guidance.  Let's make a plan!

Sending you peace and love,

Michelle
